Always quick with the joke, Tony.
Really enjoying the mood (somber music, hushed voices) of this latest The Dark Knight Rises trailer. Very, very excited.
I might drive to Edmonton tonight. I thought I’d need directions to the airport, but I should have known I’d just have to drive in a straight line for 4.5 hours. I love Alberta.
There must be other people out there who re-watch their favourite TV series from start to finish. I’m always slow to take on new shows.
My friend Cole spotted this “ice pan” or “ice circle” in a creek outside of Magrath, Alberta. Apparently they’re pretty rare. It was difficult to find any sort of thorough explanation or article or anything like that.
The photos on wikipedia seem to be only ice circles that are free-moving in a body of unfrozen water, while Cole’s picture seems to show a disc perfectly imbedded in ice itself.
UFO probably.
Tough spot to find, but worth it.
I’m really into low-profile seats. If I ever get around to grabbing a fender elimination kit for the Bonneville I’ll probably look into a more lean and minimal seat. Unless removing the rear fender is really flattering for the Thruxton seat and bum-stop that is currently on the bike.

This little one is Emma, my niece.
During the first week of August every year, upwards of 500 000 motorcyclists meet for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota, a town of less than 7000 people. It sounds borderline overwhelming, and the various youtube videos I’ve went through are interesting, to say the least. People are enthusiastic, though. It seems like something you have to do at least once.
My dad is heading down there this summer and he’s hoping I’ll come along. Although I’d be more than happy to to make the ~1400km trip (each way), the congestion in the little town is intimidating at this point in riding career — I’m no master at low-speed maneuvering in tight spaces.
I guess I’ll see how the summer goes, how much riding I do and so on. Perhaps by the time August roles around I’ll be accompanying my old man to Sturgis.
Dwight: Do you like candy?
Angela: It’s alright.
Dwight: ‘Cause you’re sweeter than candy.
After OS X Lion came out, my roommate and I did a lot of talking about the future of the Mac. He imagined Apple moving toward merging the iOS and OS X experiences to a much greater degree than they already had. I imagine other people had similar feelings.
This article on http://imore.com seems to clear that up a bit.
My sister nabbed this picture of me taking off for my first little ride of the summer. The other guy is my neighbour, who came along with my old man and I. He’s 75 but still gets out on the trike, which I think is pretty cool.
Home time! A great time of year. My roommates would give me shit for not flying WestJet, but seeing these Air Canada emails is my favourite.
